This is absolutely frustrating, I'm just about to give up on trying to play this game. I've never had so many problems installing Japanese game before.

I solve one problem and something even worse springs forth from beyond it. I somehow managed to get the patch to run but it for some reason did not put a new exe in the folder. It just 'updates' the files then leaves the old exe as a backup in that folder with nothing to start the game with in the game folder. Of course, I tried to restore my old exe but running the game with that one leaves the game in Japanese and very buggy. The only thing I can think of is this game absolutely hates Japanese app locale and wants me to run it with full Japanese settings on a restart. Can I confirm with those of you who got it working that you did that?

Or can someone at least upload the English exe that the patch makes? Edit: Well, I didn't think my anti-virus would delete anything without notifying me but it deleted my new exe and kept the report about it well hidden. It's like my computer is making fun of me.

Eushully games don't require cracks (except Kodzukuri Banchou or Kuutei Senki I think), they only have dummy file checks which annoy you if you got the DC version. Also is this for the original or the 'complete' version including all append discs and updates? Installed the main game, and all 3 append disk things, But the english patch gives me some crap about unable to open archive file, or If I try to run it with the hongfire applocale thing, it says Invalid start mode: Missing IRAFN command line switch.

I'll try switching to actual japanese locale instead of applocale if I can't get it to work soon. EDIT: Ok, renaming the folder to something in english worked. Thanks guy above me for giving me that idea. EDITEDIT: Gahh, when I try to mess with the text options and such I get the runtime error bug.

Guess I'll reinstall in proper locale after all. Le sigh.I installed the game with applocale and it crashed when I tried to play it with applocale. It works now I play it in proper locale without reinstalling!

Conclusion: installing with applocale is ok, but playing it with applocale does not work (at least for me).
